I truly believe youth sports prepare young people for life in a way that very few things can.
I am excited to be part of the Lady Broncos softball program and to have another opportunity to invest in young athletes through sports. I am married with four kids, and throughout my life I have had the opportunity to work in construction, youth ministry, the military, teaching, and coaching. Although those experiences have been very different, they have all helped shape the way I lead and the things I value.
I served eight years in the United States Marine Corps as a Scout Sniper. During my time in the Marines, I served in combat and was awarded the Purple Heart and a combat valor award. My time in the military taught me countless lessons about leadership, discipline, perseverance, teamwork, and accountability. Those lessons continue to influence the way I teach and coach today.
Sports have been an important part of my life for as long as I can remember. I played football, baseball, and basketball in high school, and over the past 10 years I have coached high school football, high school girls basketball, high school boys baseball, and youth softball. I love competition, but what has kept me coaching is the opportunity to invest in young people.
I was fortunate to have coaches growing up who challenged me, believed in me, held me accountable, and cared about the person I was becoming. Their impact went far beyond the sports we were playing. That is something I have always wanted to give back to the athletes I coach.
I truly believe youth sports prepare young people for life in a way that very few things can. Sports give athletes opportunities to succeed, fail, compete, work through adversity, handle pressure, be part of a team, and learn how to respond when things do not go their way. The lessons athletes learn through those experiences can stay with them long after they are finished playing.
As a coach, I believe athletes should be challenged and held to a high standard. I want players to learn to hold themselves accountable and also understand the responsibility they have to their teammates. Being part of a great team means learning to encourage each other, push each other, communicate honestly, and sometimes have difficult conversations. At the same time, athletes should always know that their coaches care about them, believe in them, and want to see them succeed.
One of the things I especially enjoy about coaching softball is watching the confidence of young athletes grow as they take on challenges. There is something special about seeing a player struggle with something, continue working at it, and eventually realize that she is capable of more than she thought. That confidence can carry far beyond the softball field.
My goal with the Lady Broncos is to help our players become better softball players, but even more importantly, I want to help them grow into confident, disciplined, resilient young women who understand what it means to be a great teammate. Years from now, they may not remember the score of every game, but I hope they remember the relationships they built, the challenges they overcame, and the lessons they learned along the way.
Outside of coaching and teaching, I love spending time with my family, being outdoors, drinking coffee, and finding ways to compete and stay active. Most importantly, my faith in Jesus Christ is a major part of my life and has a tremendous influence on the way I try to live, lead, teach, and coach.
I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Lady Broncos and excited to invest in these athletes and see what they can accomplish together.

8U Coach
I want the girls to gain confidence that goes beyond the softball field and to know that their confidence can take them anywhere they want to go.
I am so excited to be stepping into my first coaching position, and it seems only fitting that it’s girls’ softball. I didn’t want to let an opportunity to coach my daughter pass me by.
I started playing baseball with OBA when I was 7 years old. While I learned a little bit about the sport, I remember telling my parents that I wanted to play with girls, not boys. For two years, I asked my parents to let me play softball. Finally, when I was 9 years old, they agreed to let me play for OVYSA, and there was no stopping me from there. As long as I can remember, I played softball. I spent so much of my time playing the sport that it eventually shaped much of my adolescence. Some of my best friends and memories were made while traveling the country and playing softball.
I had the chance to play on a handful of competitive travel teams, but the teams that hold a special place in my heart are Rock N Fire and Grapettes. From 2002 to 2006, I played Oakdale High School softball with many of the same teammates—and coaches—who were on my travel team. We had a lot of success, and not many teams could compete with us. We won a lot of games and collected a few section titles along the way. We were unlike any other softball team to have come through Oakdale up to that point. My main position was outfield, and I relished the moments and big plays that happened there.
I was lucky to have been coached by exceptional coaches. If it weren’t for them, I wouldn’t love this game as much as I do. I want to share my experience and love of the game with this generation of softball players. A good coach can make or break a player’s experience, and I hope to be on the positive side of that experience.
I want the girls to grow and develop into the best softball players they can be. It’s important to know how to play all positions on the field, even if you don’t play them in a game. The game moves so quickly that any advantage a player can gain will help make her a better player. I want the girls to gain confidence that goes beyond the softball field and to know that their confidence can take them anywhere they want to go.
One thing I want the girls to take away from this team is the importance of having fun. I also want them to learn the basics of being a good teammate and showing respect to one another and to the coaches.
My husband, Jason, and I both grew up in Oakdale. We know what it’s like to grow up in and play for a town like Oakdale. We started dating in high school and got married in 2012. We have two kids who are incredibly active year-round. My husband is the assistant coach for the Broncos baseball team that my son plays on. We are a Broncos family through and through!
When I’m not on a baseball or softball field, I’m usually cooking something, organizing something, or finding some way to be active. I enjoy going out to dinner, listening to music and podcasts, and binge-watching my next show.
I look forward to this upcoming season and to the opportunity to coach your player. Let’s go, Lady Broncos!

8U Coach
I love helping young athletes learn, grow, and gain confidence—not only as players, but as teammates and people.
I’m a lifelong baseball enthusiast with more than 30 years of experience in the sport and a strong passion for giving back to the game. I’m a proud graduate of Oakdale High School, where I was fortunate to be part of the Mustang Baseball program that brought home the school’s first section title.
Outside of baseball, I’ve been with my high school sweetheart for more than 20 years, and we’ve been married for 10. Together, we have three beautiful daughters: Stella, Gemma, and Noah. Being a dad to three girls makes the opportunity to coach and help young female athletes grow especially meaningful to me.
I love helping young athletes learn, grow, and gain confidence—not only as players, but as teammates and people. I believe the lessons girls learn through softball—confidence, resilience, teamwork, accountability, and how to overcome challenges—can help shape who they become both on and off the field. There’s nothing better than seeing a player’s face light up when something finally “clicks” and she realizes she can do something she once thought was difficult.
I’m excited for the opportunity to share my love of the game with the Lady Broncos, create a positive and fun environment, and help our girls build their skills, confidence, friendships, and a lifelong love for sports!

My goal is to create an environment where every Lady Bronco feels valued, supported, and challenged to grow.
I’m proud to be part of the Lady Broncos softball program. As a lifelong baseball player, I’ve always loved the competition, the friendships, and the feeling of being part of a team. Coaching gives me the opportunity to share that love of the game while helping these girls build a strong foundation in softball.
As a father of four, I understand that coaching is about much more than teaching players how to hit, throw, and catch. It’s about being a positive role model, building confidence, and helping young athletes learn to keep going when things get difficult. I want the lessons we teach about teamwork, accountability, and perseverance to stay with them long after they leave the field.
My goal is to create an environment where every Lady Bronco feels valued, supported, and challenged to grow. I want our players to trust their teammates, take pride in their preparation and effort, and learn how to handle both success and setbacks.
Outside of softball, I work as a project manager at Layman Power. My work has reinforced the importance of clear communication, organization, and bringing people together toward a common goal—qualities I bring to the field as well.
For me, coaching is a chance to give back to a game that has meant so much throughout my life. More than anything, I hope these girls grow as players and people, enjoy being part of this team, and build friendships and memories they’ll carry with them for years to come.

10U Coach
For me, coaching is about more than the game—it’s about helping each player discover what she’s capable of.
I’m excited to be part of the Lady Broncos and help our players build their skills, confidence, and love for the game. I’ve been involved in baseball and softball for most of my life, including 10 years playing baseball and five years of coaching.
For me, coaching is about more than the game—it’s about helping each player discover what she’s capable of. My approach starts with strong fundamentals, positive encouragement, and a balance of support and challenge. I want our players to feel comfortable asking questions, learning from mistakes, and pushing themselves to improve, all while having fun with their teammates. Whether they’re mastering the basics or preparing for the next level, my goal is to give them a strong foundation to build on.
Off the field, I’m a fire captain with more than 20 years of experience and an avid duck hunter. Hard work, teamwork, and staying focused are values I bring to every practice and game. Above all, I want each player to leave the field having learned something, feeling proud of her effort, and looking forward to coming back.

10U Coach
I also believe that a team is only as strong as the support we give to every player.
I am excited to be starting my second year coaching and to be part of the Lady Broncos softball program. I have been an active member of the Greek Orthodox Church community since 2003, and being involved with our youth and families has always been important to me.
My involvement in softball really began with my daughters. They have both played since they were six years old, and over the years, I have loved watching their passion for the game grow.
Like many softball parents, I started out simply helping wherever I could-working on basic skills at home, supporting their coaches, and learning more about the game along the way. As they became more competitive, I found myself wanting to learn more so I could better support their development.
Over the past several years, I have spent a lot of time working with my girls on pitching and helping them advance their skills through drills, repetition, video review, and research. I am always looking for new techniques and resources that can help them improve. I have also been fortunate to work with and learn from some of the Oakdale High School coaches, who have shared drills, techniques, and knowledge that I can bring back to our players.
Outside of softball, I have been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for more than 14 years and currently work as a Respiratory Care Instructor at Modesto Junior College. Teaching is a huge part of who I am, and I think that naturally carries over into the way I coach. One of the biggest things I have learned as an educator is that everyone learns differently. What works for one athlete may not work for another, and sometimes it is our job as coaches to find a different way to teach a skill until it clicks.
I also believe that a team is only as strong as the support we give to every player. My goal is not just to develop our strongest athletes-it is to help every girl on the team grow, gain confidence, improve her skills, and understand that she has an important role in the success of the team.
I am still growing as a coach, and I plan to continue learning, researching, and finding resources that will help our girls advance their skills as they move into a more competitive softball environment. Most importantly, I want the Lady Broncos to be a place where our girls are challenged, supported, learn to work together, and continue developing their love for the game.
I am excited to see what we can build together. Go Lady Broncos!

10U Coach
On the field, my goal is to help every player grow, believe in herself, and enjoy being part of a team.
I’m excited to be part of the Lady Broncos 10U coaching staff. This is my second year coaching, and I’ve also spent time supporting my daughters’ coaches as a parent volunteer, helping wherever I could. My daughters have been playing softball for the past four years, and my motivation has always been simple: help girls learn the game, love the game, and have fun.
At this age, I believe players should have opportunities to learn multiple positions and develop a well-rounded understanding of softball while building their skills and confidence. A positive team culture is especially important to me. What I look for in a player is a willingness to learn, a passion for the game, and a commitment to supporting her teammates—and herself—through both wins and losses. I encourage our girls to give themselves the same patience and encouragement they offer each other.
I’ve been a small business owner for the past 18 years, and I hope to bring that experience and perspective to helping grow the softball side of the Broncos organization. It was important to me to join a nonprofit organization with Oakdale roots, where local coaches are investing in local girls. I believe in making the most of families’ hard-earned money by putting it toward opportunities that directly benefit the players, including league play and tournaments that reinforce what they learn in practice.
Outside of work and softball, I love camping and spending time outdoors. On the field, my goal is to help every player grow, believe in herself, and enjoy being part of a team.
Program & tryout FAQ
A little clarity before the first pitch.
The November 7, 2026 tryouts are for our Spring 2027 8U and 10U teams.
Tryouts will be held at Kerr Park in Oakdale. Field, check-in, and what-to-bring details will be shared before tryouts.
For these tryouts, players must meet the age limit for their division as of September 1, 2026: 8U is 8 years old or younger; 10U is 10 years old or younger. 12U is not part of the November 7 tryouts. For the planned Fall 2027 division, players must be 12 years old or younger as of September 1, 2027.
Our Spring 2027 plan combines a 10-week Rainbow league season with approximately two to three tournaments, based on player readiness, scheduling, and team budgets. League play creates a steady teach-play-review rhythm, while tournaments add higher-intensity competition. No overnight events are currently planned; target tournaments are generally within about an hour and a half. The final schedule is still being developed.
Not at the November 7 tryouts. The Lady Broncos plan to launch a 12U program for Fall 2027, with its own roster and future tryout process. Many of our Spring 2027 10U players will be bridging over to 12U in the Fall. Parents can select 12U — Fall 2027 in the interest form now. Players must be 12 years old or younger as of September 1, 2027.
No. The interest list is for Lady Broncos program and tryout updates. It does not complete tryout registration or reserve a roster spot.
